This is a public event with the aim to give information about the launch and scope of the project. The project was successfully addressed to the 1st call of the Danube Transnational Programme, under Priority Area “Better connected and energy responsible Danube region”. 15 partners and 7 associated strategic partners (geological surveys, universities, public bodies, private companies) from 6 countries are working together to enhance the sustainable and energy-efficient use of untapped deep geothermal energy resources in the heating sector in the Central and South-Eastern part of the Danube Region.

The Commission is marking International Women's Day with the publication of a new report on equality between men and women, which shows that EU legislation, guidelines, actions and funding possibilities are supporting noticeable but uneven progress in EU Member States.

This Thematic Seminar on energy-related Research and Innovation (R&I) aims to raise awareness and foster exchange of information and best practice between the European Commission and the EU regions as well as among the regions themselves. The participants will be updated on the state-of-play on energy R&I policy developments.

Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary and Romania are announcing the 2nd Call EUREKA Danube for Proposals for joint R&D projects, focusing on developing innovative products and applications in all technological and application areas.

The Danube Transnational Programme (DTP) organised in Budapest on 9th February 2017 a Lead Applicants Seminar for the 2nd call for proposals, which is planned to be officially launched in Spring 2017.
