The main focus of this workshop organised by the European Commission is the exchange of good practices for the development and management of Science and Technology Parks (STPs) and Incubators in the Danube and Adriatic-Ionian Macro Regions. Issues related to the optimal ownership and operational structure of such facilities will be discussed as well as approaches in terms of sectoral or technological profile.

The international networks and funding programmes CORNET and IraSME are hosting this event in Berlin facilitating the search for project partners with regard to the upcoming Call for Proposals with closure date in the end of September 2017.

Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE will fund 50 new cooperation projects following the second call for proposals. Around 90 million Euro from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) will be transferred to transnational project partnerships over coming years.

Two position papers have been recently elaborated in the context of the two pilot actions supported by Danube-INCO.NET in 2016 (WP3/T3.3): "DANUBIONET position paper for the development of Bioeconomy in the Danube region" and "Bioeconomy for the Danube region"
